Do you think kids with racist parents should follow their parents racist rules?

Like as far as dating, befriending, and associating with people that are different races and cultures?
I don't have racist parents, but I am curious on what is your point of views with children that disobey their parents racist rules?

Children who 'disobey' parents' racist rules are admirable in my opinion. Not being afraid to stand up to your parents' views when you know they're clearly in the wrong. There's NEVER a good enough reason to be racist.

I think a lot of this is going to depend on the rest of the family dynamic. If breaking the rules would put the kid in danger, then as awful as the racist rules are it might ultimately be better for the kid to follow them until he or she is old enough to get out of the house and be safe. But if they're not in danger, I don't see the benefit in forcing them to be racist.

Of course depending on their culture and environment they might be effected by racism even though it varies on personal experiences and opinion. Racist parents can bring up kids to be racist however point of views change as they grow up therefore your question I would say is relevant and wont have a single opinion or answer since it can be responded to in many ways

I see your point. If I had racist parents, I wouldn't follow those beliefs, but by the same token, I wouldn't want to subject my friends of color to my parents! So, I'd make friends, but I would try to avoid any situation where my parents would meet my friends, which can be difficult. You can't change people's values and beliefs like that and it's not fair to put your friends in a situation where you know your parents are going to react inappropriately.
