Why can I move my forefinger, middle finger and thumb independently, but my ring and little finger move as one?

Is it conditioned, the nerves or am I made differently?

    You ARE made just a teeny bit differently - but aren't we all . . .;

    The tendons that go down each finger are different parts of the same muscle.

    And there are connections between those tendons,

    sometimes slightly different connections in different people.

    Your connections between the 4th and 5th tendons make them move together.
