Lisense plates in the state of maryland consist of three letters of the alphabet followed by three digits. The Maryland system will allow how many possible license plates ? Of these how many will have no repeated letters and digits ?
I thought u would do 26*25*24*10*9*8 but I don't know if I am right help please!!!? And explain!! :)

you are on the right track
26x26x26x10x10x10 gives you the TOTAL, including repeated digits and letters. this is the first part.
the second part ask for how many with NO REPEATS. so its (26x26x26x10x10x10) MINUS (26x25x24x10x9x8) = number with NO repeats.

Your right for most part but instead of 10 u gotta start at 9 so its 26*25*24*9*8*7
