nyc apartments renting?
if the site for the apartment says "rent from $3,100" is that yearly or monthly?
thats the actual one i'm looking at, i'm a little confused

Rents in US are always quoted by the month, never by the year. "From" $3,100 means apartments in that building start at $3.100 a month.
A cardboard box costs more than $3,100 a year in NYC!

It's definitely a monthly rental and probably a small apt.
Trump apartments usually cost more. If you can't afford that kind of rent
you should look in ads for Queens or Brooklyn apartments, but even
those are getting more expensive ($ 1500 a month and up for one bedroom.)Source(s): Born and raised in NYC

Trust us natives, it is a rental apartment.
Anything that has Trump's name on it is surely over priced. I am sure you can find a place half that amount in Manhattan and the other four boroughs.

My friend, it could be per month, however, I would recommend contact the owner or the management company and inquire about it.
Good luckSource(s): native
