Do I attract ghosts (or anything else 'evil') by watching paranormal videos that scare the poop out of me?

Update:

I too find it very unlikely that such things actually exist, but I'm looking for an answer from someone who actually believes in it. But of course - all answers are appreciated.

I'm not sure why there are people who mock these subjects. It's called ignorance, contrary to what they believe. I would like to see their faces when they came across a ghost. Ghosts are real, most likely beings in a different dimension. No, if you only watch pictures/videos you won't attract them.

I don't think that you are attracting ghosts via watching videos about it. What I believe you are experiencing is some form of mental phenomena such as power of suggestion and paranoia that has been set in because of the videos. I have the same issue (prime example tonight for me) when I watch things that have a resounding effect on me. I love the show Ghost Adventures, because, I am a believer of the supernatural and I tend to find that it has an effect where I feel like maybe something is with me. I never experience anything like that unless I have watched something prior to it. Such as GA or Paranormal Activity. I mean, I've stayed up two nights in a row before because I'm scared something is with me in the house. Its usually just my mind, thankfully, but, if you are a skeptic then there isn't really anything to worry about unless it actually happens to you.

  • Most people don't spend time worrying that every bump, creak and shadow is something to do with ghosts. But when you watch videos on the subject, it puts that idea into your head. It's like watching horror movies. The only time you ever think Freddy Krueger might be in your house is around the time you watch a Nightmare On Elm Street film. Even if you're completely aware that it's all fiction, it still makes you wonder "what if.....?". It's the exact same principle as when you watch anything to do with the paranormal.

No, those things aren't real. Why would you want an answer from someone who believes fantasy is reality? Whether or not something exists is not a matter of opinion. Or are you just playing make-believe, and looking for someone to play along? There is an age limit on this website, you know.

As it is highly unlikely that ghosts or evil beings exist, the answer is a resounding no.

Like attracts like; whatever you put into your awareness, you tend to become somewhat like that, for a time (maybe 1-3 days in the case of videos).

Perhaps Raisin Bran would be less dangerous?
