Windows 7 USB Mouse Error?

When I tried to plug in the mouse a bubble popped up that says:

USB Device Not Recognized

One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message.

    hmmm you should try using another USB port. If that doesn't work then turn off your computer,plug in the mouse,then power on the computer.

    attempt setting up yet another version of homestead windows (i.e. homestead windows Vista sixty 4-bit) then doing an improve instead of a sparkling establish to homestead windows 7. the sole subject i will think of of is the solid state tension, homestead windows will possibly no longer have the drivers on the establish disk for that, so an energetic information superhighway connection may be required, that or acquire a greater moderen establish disk.
