How would a person who has been abuse almost since birth talk? Think?

In short sentences? I know that this type of people hardly talk but they do think, right? So let's say if you're going write a book from their point of view, How would you make their narrative sound?

Update:

What about psychopaths?..mentally, emotionally abused that they don't mature and their thinking is as such of a child's.

Not all abused persons talk the same, as in 'short sentences'. How they talk and what they say will depend on their metaphysics as it affects their psychology.

No author goes into such a task as writing the book you want to write, without studying the subject she writes about. You had better do some research, or every publisher will laugh and reject your book. Your readers will know more than you on the first page.
