Human beings are mixed. All of us are good and evil. It's the proportions that matter.

Kruschev was involved with Stalin's deliberately imposed famine in the Ukraine. After Stalin's death in 1953, Kruschev exposed Stalin's crimes and ended his cult.

During the Cuban Missile Crisis, a crisis that could have more or less destroyed the world, Kruschev had a level head. When his military said of the USA that it was a paper tiger, he famously replied, "That tiger has nuclear teeth." Kennedy also kept his head and so the end of the world was postponed.

    We owe him some gratitude.
