Have you ever passed up the chance to "bury the hatchet" or forgive an old grudge?

I did, I had no intention of forgiving or trying to see things from his point of view. I did not want to shake his hand and be friends. I just wanted to continue hating him. So I kept my mouth shut and stared off into space.

in my youth. with age comes (a minimal amount at least) wisdom.

hatred is harmful, better to forgive.

the past is past you must for future live.

so unless one's able to "collect now!"

count on the eternal circle of tao,

to roll 'round again and repay all wrongs.

leave vengence to he with whom it belongs

  • Actually I'm a very forgiving person....but the other person needs to back down first when they're wrong or have done wrong. Some people just love to argue and fight..I'm not one of them....but I can do it if I have to.....

There are, of course, certain things in life that are unforgivable..mostly those are things done by people in 'power' who break their oath of office...

I used to forgive and forget, but not anymore: most people never improve.
