Bread Machine Dough Recipe?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a whole wheat or a honey whole wheat dough recipe to put in the bread machine, but take it out after the dough is made and put it in the oven. So do you know of any whole wheat bread machine dough recipes, and how long to bake in the oven after the dough is made? Thanks.

    The recipe provided in the previous answer is good but you must remember one thing, one very important thing!

    If you are not using 'bread machine yeast' you must proof the yeast first. A common mistake using bread machines is that if you put the ingredients in the machine in the order dictated by the bread machine manufacturer, but you use the more common active dry yeast, you will not get the same results.

    Active dry yeast must be "proofed" when you use it in a bread machine. Instead of putting the yeast in the top of the dry ingredients, START by putting the yeast, warm water and sugar (in quantitied dictated in the recipe) in the bottom of the bread machine pan and letting it sit for 10 - 15 minutes. You'll see the mixture get foamy and bubbly. That is proofing the yeast. THEN add the rest of the ingredients on top of the foamy yeast mixture. It will make a world of difference in the yeast action in your bread.

    If you just throw the active dry yeast on the top of the dry ingredients in the machine (as most commonly prescribed by bread machine directions), your loaf will be heavier and not rise as well.

    •1-1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water

    •2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    •2 teaspoons salt

    •1/3 cup packed brown sugar

    •4-1/4 cups whole wheat flour

    •3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk

    •2 teaspoons active dry yeast


    Place ingredients in bread pan in order listed or according to manufacturer's directions. When adding the yeast last, make a small well with your finger to place the yeast. This will insure the proper timing of the yeast reaction. Use Whole Wheat or Timed Cycle, or according to manufacturer's directions.Put in oven for 15-20min but keep an eye on it


    1 1/8 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

    3 tablespoons honey

    1/3 teaspoon salt

    1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

    1 1/2 cups bread flour

    2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast


    1.Add ingredients according to the manufacturer's directions to your bread machine. Use the wheat bread cycle and light color setting.
