If Bible-god created life on other planets, why does the Satan character spend all his time on Earth?
This would seem to imply that either other life in the universe is sinless, or that there are other beings just as powerful and evil as Satan, whose "jobs" are to corrupt other life forms.
Isn't the Bible absolutely geocentric in its treatment of good vs. evil? Honestly?

Well, maybe we ARE the worst of the lot, and Satan would have a better chance here, but to be the worst also makes us the smartest, so maybe he's thinking big.

I think there is life out there somewhere, but the milky way galaxy (or an even larger area) is a quarantine zone for us. We will never come into contact with aliens because we are the fallen race. After the second coming and the recreation of the earth, then we will meet the other beings in the great beyond. Angels are a prime example that intelligent beings other than humans do exist. Angels were created before humans. Why would God destroy the entire universe, including the angels when they've done no wrong? He's only going to destroy and recreate our "quarantine area". Everything else stays where it is.
The fallen race is the living example to all the other unfallen races in the universe (angels etc), WHY sin is bad, why God's government is the best one, and why Satan is evil and his government sucks. This is why God allows Satan to continue to run amuck. He could destroy Satan in an instant, but that wouldn't show everyone how bad he is. Until Satan sinned, the entire universe was unfamiliar with the effects of sin and where it would lead. But now they have the evidence being played out before their eyes on Earth.
The reason Satan spends all of his time on earth is because we are the only fallen world. He has power here because we gave it to him. Adam/Eve gave their allegiance to the Enemy when they bit into the apple and sinned against god. I'm sure Satan went to other worlds to try to tempt them as well, but we were the only ones who fell for it.

According to Ellen White, Satan went to other planets and was rejected there. His final attempt was earth and Adam and Eve fell.
The other planets have remained sinless and we have become a guide book to the rest of the universe on the battle of good vs. evil.
Revelation is also very clear n this subject.
If you want a great book on this very topic, read, The Great Controversy Between Good and Evil" and contact your local Seventh-day Adventist Church for Bible studies.

Satan simply means "adversary" or opponent in Hebrew.
The Character Satan was later created by the church, to instill the fear of evil into the masses.
He was then later equated with Lucifer, as the angel had been the only "recorded" personality who has gone head to head with God. But only in Revelations and if you read Revelations you will quickly realize it is not literal it is coded prophecy.

Satan is your own evil inclination. Humans have 2 natures or inclinations 1 good the other to do evil. The challenge is to do more good than evil, this bringing more good into the world. Why ? Mere survival was not enough of a challenge for humankind.

Simple, there most likely is no other life on other planets, and satan has been confined to the earth's vicinity anyway after being cast out of the heavens in the recent past.
(Revelation 12:9) “So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.”

These are just one of these things we won't understand at the current time. I'm a mormon and we believe that God has other children on other worlds. They also need Christ as their Savior. So I doubt their perfect. One does not need the adversary to disobey God. Lucifer rebelled in the very presence of our Father.
The Bible only focuses on this world for a reason. Its not important for our salvation to know about it. The Lord knew we would have a hard enough time with His sermon on the mount.

You need to reread the part where the Bible talks about alien life in other galaxies before you run off your mouth slandering Satan.Source(s): Catholic

As an atheist, I thank you for coming up with this argument, you make a good point, and this can add to my collection of arguments against Christianity, that come in handy every once in a while.

He doesn't spend all of his time on earth, the bible never says he does
