How do i find my voice?

I always end up imitating the artists voice when i sing their songs. But i want to be able to make a clear distinction between my voice and theirs. Eg. My voice wil go husky when singing a brian mcknight song or thin when singing a fun. song then deep when singing bary white. I wana sound like me singing those songs, not them.

You should sing karaoke more often instead of hearing the singers while you sing . You can also take singing lessons , that'll be a great way to define your voice

Voice teachers can be immensely helpful, though if you don't want to pay for lessons then just keep singing, the more you sing and the wider the variety of songs you sing the more likely you are to find your own unique sound
