can landlords do random check even if its not written in the contract?

so we can't have a mat in the bathtub because she said that we would probably mess the bathtub up and we would be charged after the bathtub all ready has this thing where you cant slide but i put in a mat because as much clorox i put its still yellow!. i just want to know if anythiing she says that is not in the contract can i fefuse! or does she have a right to just have to look around even if its not written down on paper

    NO . 24 hour WRITTEN notice .

    Most states do not allow a "random check" without 24-hours minimum notice. This is a state-to-state deal, though.

    No, she can't tell you how to clean your tub or whether you should have a mat in it.

    They have to give you a 24 hour notice prior to inspection/walkthrough by law
