Probably because they are aware of the facts.
FACT - Insurance companies in the USA before the reforms pushed up prices, did not pay out claims when they should and bought or blackmailed politicians
FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet
FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare
FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage
FACT - Obama was elected to bring in change
FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing America
FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland
Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.Source(s): http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jul/26/us-hea... http://www.who.int/whosis/whostat/EN_WHS09_Table7.... http://youtu.be/erspfMkqLN4 http://www.unicef.org.uk/campaigns/publications/pd... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/us_elect... http://youtu.be/hUNCpnRBf9o http://www.commonwealthfund.org/Content/Publicatio...

Those groups CLAIM to represent us. Most physicians do not want increased bureaucracy and government interference. Our societies often do not represent what their members want or need.
The AMA is the chief offender in that. They are a bunch of self-serving people who are completely out of touch with those of us who actually WORK in the field.
Your data and beliefs are just wrong.

So you saying these groups support Obamacare is all the proof needed?
It doesn't work that way Einstein. You made the claim and you have to provide PROOF or it will be seen as BS.

The organizations feel that they must give lip service to the program to avoid government inspectors decending on them for every "i" that wasn't dotted. If you check with the doctors, you might get a very different oppinion. Three of the doctors thta I see for various reasons expect to leave the profession if this prograam gets passed. The reason is that their pay will be highly reduced. Many potential doctors will change professions for the same reason.

Just because the head of some group supports something doesn't mean all the members do

Just like the AFL-CIO gives 100% of their campaign contributions to democrats, but actual union members have no say in the matter and do not support 100% democrats. You cant make that assertion when its just a bunch of overweight and overpaid members running the show that dont represent the interests of their members.

Simple, $$$$$$. They would be guaranteed not to get stiffed for Medical bills by uninsured patients. It may limit what they can charge, but at least they get paid.
