Me, being a British born Italian can see why that is, I don't like the Idea of Italy becoming a Multicultural nation like Britain. I agree; Italy should NOT be multicultural. This doesn't mean they should *ban* immigration, just that immigrants should have an interest in intermarrying, and assimilating, completely.

This doesn't apply to countries like America or Australia, which are *built* on multiculturalism, and where immigrants *retaining* their cultures can no longer cause any further damage to those of their native inhabitants (Indians, Aborigines) like it would with Italy.

Wait, "WHITE" countries are the ones that are "for everyone else"?? Umm, wait a second, what countries throughout history have been colonizers?? England, Spain, and France. ALL of these countries have taken large parts of Africa, Asia, Oceania, AND the Americas.

Your comment is totally ignorant; I believe in preserving cultures, but you know what? Those countries I mentioned have brought multiculturalism upon *themselves* by enslaving and colonizing.

P.S.

Don't make this White vs. non-White - this about immigrants from *poor* countries, going to places they see as prosperous, and clashing with the native *cultures*. Race (which is largely a social construct) is rarely thought of outside the U.S.; ethnicity is far more important.
