Best wood for building a rabbit hutch?
So my sister and i are getting a rabbit from the SPCA and our dad and older brother wanted to build the hutch instead of buy one (they are expensive!)
-what wood is best used? NOTE: we want one that won't let the hutch go damp (our neighbors had an old rabbit and under the hay it was very wet and damp and soggy)
I forget what its called... what is that stuff you can coat wood in to make it stronger or more waterproof or something? Thanks!! :D

Why don't you consider housing bunny inside? All of mine have been litter-trained and housed inside. With proper care, they are not smelly or messy. NIC cages are quite popular for indoor bunnies. Here are some photos of mine:
But if your brother & dad want to build something with wood, take a look at my newest cage I made using an old kitchen oven cabinet. Most of the materials we had on hand, so it prob cost us only $25 total:
(If it appears at all small to you, bear in mind that my bunnies have the door open almost all day long)
If you are curious about this cage, here is a video showing how we made it:
And here's a great link with good rabbit info you'll likely be wanting:
Kudos to you for adopting!
