RHH: What Albums Would You Have Chosen for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album Each Year...?

If you could only chose from the nominees they had selected? (it's only been around since '96)

Here's the list of the winners and nominees: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_Rap_Album

If you don't feel like doing that, you can just answer the BQs...

BQ: Which year do you think had the biggest snub(bing)? (In terms of lack of including a certain album as a nominee or chosing an album over another that probably should've won instead.)

BQ2: Top 3 albums that won?

BQ3: Top 3 albums that lost?

BQ4: What's a better trio of albums between the winners and losers that you chose?

BQ5: Which year had the best group of nominees?

I'll go with Viva La Vida (Or Death and All His Friends), but only because I haven't listened to In Rainbows or Raising Sand yet. BA: Death Magnetic, I guess.

Just a heads up, I chose from the nominees on the main question, I decided not to choose the albums that already won....

I have the strong urge to post the ODB video....

    '96: Me Against The World

    '97: Beats, Rhymes, Life

    '98: Wu-Tang Forever

    '99: Capital Punishment

    '00: Things Fall Apart

    '01: 2001

    '02: The Blueprint

    '03: Word of Mouf

'04: Get Rich or Die Tryin'

    '05: The Black Album

    '06: Be

    '07: Game Theory

    '08: Hip Hop is Dead

    '09: The Cool

    '10: The Renaissance

    '11: How I Got Over

'12: Watch The Throne (I guess)

You know, I always hate when people say "Mainstream hip hop is dead" or that it sucks, or whatever, but I found it harder to choose a winner as time went on. 2012 especially.

BQ: No Way Out over Wu-Tang Forever (I still want to post the video)

    BQ2: SSLP, MMLP, College Dropout

    BQ3: 2001, Game Theory, Wu-Tang Forever

BQ4: Winners (wow, that was tough)

    BQ5: 2001 maybe

It's questions like these that keep me on Y!A dude. Good sh*t

I'll pick 2 albums I think were a better choice for winning for the particular years.

    1996- Me Against the World & OB4CL

1997- All Eyes On Me & Reasonable Doubt

    1998- Life After Death & Wu-Tang Forever

1999- Aquemini & Moment of Truth

2000- Black on Both Sides & Things Fall Apart

    2002- Blueprint & Stillmatic

2003- Blazing Arrow & The Fix

2004- The Listener & Rip the Jacker

    2007- Food & Liquor & Game Theory

    2008- Finding Forever & Desire

    2009- The Cool & Untitled

    2010- The Renaissance & OB4CL2

2011- How I Got Over & Live From The Tape Deck

    2012- Elmatic & Riches, Royalty & Respect

BQ: 1998: Didn't include the 7 Day Theory album which is a top 20 album all-time imo

BQ: The Score, MMLP & College Dropout

BQ: Me Against the World, Life After Death & Food & Liquor

    BQ: Losers

    BQ: 1998

    1996: 2Pac - Me Against the World

    1997: Fugees - The Score

    1998: Wu-Tang Clan - Wu-Tang Forever

1999: Big Pun - Capital Punishment

2000: The Roots - Things Fall Apart

    2001: Eminem - The MMLP

    2002: Jay-Z - The Blueprint

2003: Eminem - The Eminem Show

    2004: OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

2005: Kanye West - The College Dropout

    2006: Common - Be

2007: The Roots - Game Theory

    2008: Kanye West - Graduation

2009: Lupe Fiasco - The Cool

    2010: Q-Tip - The Renaissance

2011: The Roots - How I Got Over

    2012: Kanye West - MBDTF

BQ: The Grammys always have been and always will be a complete joke. Almost every year has had at least one ridiculous snub. If you look at Diddy beating Wu-Tang Forever in 97, Release Theory by Luda beating F&L AND Game Theory in 07, Tha Carter III beating The Cool in 09 and Recovery beating How I Got Over in 11 it's pretty obvious the judges didn't even listen to the albums themselves... and that's not even including the fact that the actual best album usually wasn't even nominated in the first place (Black Star, Deltron 3030, Disposable Arts, The Listening, Madvillainy, A Piece of Strange, OB4CL II, Oneirology, ect.). They also d*ckride Kanye extensively and nowadays it's pretty clear the nominations are based more and more on album sales over anything else.

BQ2: The MMLP, The College Dropout & Late Regristration

BQ2: Food & Liquor, The Cool & Game Theory

    BQ4: The losers

    BQ5: 1997
