STP is standard temperature (0 deg Celcius) and pressure (1.00 atm)
At STP 1 mole of any ideal gas occupies a volume of 22.4 L
moles CO2 = mass / molar mass
= 33 g / 44.01 g/mol
= 0.7498 mol
Volume at STP = moles x 22.4 L/mol
= 0.7498 mol x 22.4 L/mol
= 16.796 L
= 17 L (2 sig figs)
At STP moles = volume (L) / 22.4 L/mol
moles Ar = 3.0 L / 22.4 L/mol
= 0.13 mol
