How do you get from Birmingham New Street to Wembley Stadium by rail?
I want to know how to get there by rail (not underground). I was hoping that a few people might know the route from New Street as Aston Villa and Birmingham City have reached Wembley Semis and Finals in recent years.
Thanks in advance!

By Chiltern Railways from Birmingham Moor Street to Wembley Stadium Station. You may need to change trains at High Wycombe but many of the fast trains make an extra stop at Wembley Stadium Station on match days
For the cheapest rail tickets, book well in advance for specifically timed trains. Booking opens 12 weeks before your journey

There is actually a "Wembley Stadium" railway station, but that's on a route from London Marylebone stadium, so it would be easier for you to take a train from Birmingham Moor Street to Marylebone, then another train to the stadium.
However, most people would use Wembley Central station - to get there you would take a train from New Street either to Milton Keynes or Watford Junction, then change to another train to Harrow & Wealdstone, then change to another train to Wembley Central. Or you could go all the way in to London Euston and catch a local train out to Wembley. Sorry for the convolutions - even though Wembley Central's on the main New Street to Euston line, it's only inner suburban trains that actually call there.
