? I want to have a family bbq outside and be able to have some beers! and watch some fireworks this 4th of july, where in san diego is a good plave for that?

Due to all to visiting party animals causing drunken near riots, you can no longer drink on the beach. All beaches in the county have a booze ban for the summer.

The best viewing for firework is Mission Bay / Crown Point where you can see the Sea World and Mission Beach displays. Fire rings and bbq equipment are taken by dawn so you need to camp out in the early morning hours to get any location that includes fire.
