Why don't people realize it is environment and economic status that makes crime and not race?

they are not smart enough to recognize this. they want to make it about race because then somehow it makes them look superior. the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard of is a racist prisoner claiming racial superiority, even when he is a lowlife scum and a bad mark on society. and what of these filthy rich white dudes that cheat people out of their life savings...Enron anyone??


@Billy - even when the parents do their job raising the kids right, not all kids are going to do the right thing every time. you can't always blame the parents. the kids are listening to everyone around them EXCEPT their parents. who were the Columbine boys listening to? the student at Virginia Tech, and the countless other schools where these "good and normal students" went apeshit' and killed their classmates?

Your right crime has nothing to with race creed, color, it has to do with the individual

However, I disagree with the rest of it.

Its not economic status, that makes a person turn to crime, its simply all in the fact, that mom, and dad didn't do their job, and teach them any better.

You can be dirt poor, and still be to proud to steal, or kill to get by.

Now, you could toss what I just said into environment, and it would be true.

Simply put, its all in how the person was brought up.

It is true, that a parent can't hold his/her child's hand throughout life, and to some extent, a child is responsible to his/her own actions, and a parent can't choose who their child hangs out with....
But, isn't it the parents responsiblity to equip that kid with Morals/values etc... so that they will know the difference between good and bad?

I ask you Jessica, what would your father have done, if you had gotten caught stealing?

I know what mine would have done......

Perhaps, its because kids aren't getting the discipline that we got when we were kids......

In this age in the west, the education system opens up a free gate to social mobility that only discriminates on basis of IQ (raw intelligence). Now in this system, the greatest determinant of social class is IQ. Your argument may have been valid a century earlier but this simply is not true anymore.

It is no coincidence that a sundry of independent sources (evolutionary Biology, culture free IQ tests etc) seem to indicate that Blacks, on average, have lower IQs.

People aren't that smart AND they think "everything must have a really difficult answer" aka "trying to find zebras running free in Central Park". Plus, it also seems in this section in particular, EVERYTHING has to be about race.
