Some people argue that Indigenous people are not Hispanic. However, almost all Indigenous people in Mexico & Central America speak Spanish as a first or second languages .By definition, aren't they Hispanic? I live in Philadelphia & have a friend of mine who is full blooded Mixtec friend. He does not speak Mixtec, only Spanish & English. He considered himself Himself Hispanic Indian & is involved in the Hispanic community in PHILADELPHIA. A lot of my friends are Mexican Indians & only speak Spanish cause there parents & grandparents never taught it to them

@Klose- You don't need to be from a little village to be Indigenous. My boyfriend is Indigenous Mexican & from an Urban area & only speaks Spanish. To look at him you'd know he's Indigenous. Brown skin & very indigenous features.

I meet his Grandparents who spoke a dialect, however they did not teach if to there children & grandchildren. I

Regardless, my boyfriend has no Caucasian or African blood. Based of that definition a Aboriginal Canadian born & raised in Ottawa & only speaks English is not truly Indigenous?
