Before multiculturalism you were living peacefully if you were white. When you have all the power and control, you're above the turmoil others face as a fact of living under the rule of the "white culture".

No; I'd say its more economic instability where we don't feel secure about our jobs and have awful debt loads because of the high cost of living today. Based on this we need scapegoats and like to lash out in order to blame other cultures to relieve our stress. Misery loves company.

Only time will tell, I think in the future we will see more peace within the cultural divide. integration has definitely changed since the 1950's...
