First of all, number one or number two will never happen.
Now if the Million comes because i invented something, and brought value to the market, THAT is more like it, and i get a Million AFTER TAXES, that is only because I made a BAD deal for royalties and residuals.
World Peace has VERY little to do with World hunger. If you have noticed, populations tend to cluster around where supplies are readily available, and since food and water are both scarcities in the desert, very few people LIVE in the desert. unless resources are made available artificially. If money did not flow like water in Las Vegas, neither would water flow like water.
As I said World hunger and world peace are not dependent on each other, BUT they ARE usually both tied to Government Corruption. In formerly Communist Russia, starving people would be shot trying to cross a fence to raid a farm for a potato. World hunger does NOT come from any sort of "Food Shortage" the world is awash in food. There may be some distribution logistics problems, but we still pay farmers to NOT grow here.
Notice how right here in the USA, we are experiencing more civil unrest AND higher food prices?
Things that make you go HM-MMM!
You know, Funny thing, I thought to myself as I submitted this:"I never actually answered his question"
So, Here we go. The answer for me is Number Three, but not for the reasons you might think.
I am taking you at your word on this, quite literally. And remember, I am a conservative capitalist at heart. As is Bill Gates and was Steven Jobs, when it comes to the distribution of their technology, no matter how liberal they may be on social issues.
Since I believe that the Nobel Commission has decayed into a caricature of itself, I would not want to be considered for one of their prizes, even with the substantial money prize. Any group that could issue a prize to a politician just for getting elected has lost ALL credibility in my book, and as a protest demonstration to them, they can take their prize and, well, someone wrote a song about a job that went that way. So, no to number two
Any invention that could end world hunger and bring about world peace would CERTAINLY be worth WAY North of One Million Dollars, as I said before, I would walk away from that deal too, until the lawyers negotiated a little better. Something with a Legacy attached to it. No "lump sum" deal. So, no to number one as well.
I have no real desire to "Gouge" the public, we conservatives are NOT greedy as you may have heard, but any invention that ended world hunger obviously made food less expensive for a lot of folks than it currently is. So it is Obviously of great value to the market, and I as the inventor, am entitled to my "fair share" as we hear so much about. ..
I know, I know. I am still reading way too much into this, and thinking way too hard about it. But hey, The question was not exactly all that simple either, you know.
