We have drywalled our ceiling mudded it, primered it and painted it.?
Now it is showing ugly lines and spots. How can we fix this?
We did one room and it turned out real good.

Not being able to see it The mudding wasn't done correctly. Most drywall is, I called compounded, three times. one taping. A second coat feathering out further than the taping and a final coat of compound. Allowing each coat to dry.Sand after the last coat. If this was done there should be few defects showing.
i use a wet natural rubber sponge to wipe down the compound about a 1/2 hour after using the compound it lessens the sanding

Did you happen to forget to sand the whole thing before putting on your second and third layer of mud? I don't mean just a quick sanding job, I mean a seamless, baby bottom smooth, sand till your arms fall off job. That is what is needed. You'll need to re-sand, then skim the whole ceiling. I am just about to do mine. Not a fun thing to do either!
