Help with Graphing pictures on a calculator!?

So I was given a project where i have to graph a picture using parabolas, ellipses, circles, and hyperbolas. I just dont understand how to make end points for some of the equations...

For example I need to cut of a parabola but I dont understand how to only set the domain and range for that one equation can someone help please?

I think what you are trying to say is this. Go to your "Y=" key, then go to your "Windows" key. On Xmin you put the lowest X - Value and Xmax your highest X-Value. On Y-Min you put your lowest Y-Value, and Y-Max, you put your highest Y-Value.
