Divergence Rates?? Virtual BIO lab help...?

We are currently doing an online lab. We had to analyze bacterial cells and note their GC content..we also had to answer bunches of questions which I had no problem doing. There is one question that is however sending me for a loop. It asks

According to your data, which two species that you identified diverged the longest time ago?

How would one find this out? Does it have to do with the GC content? I'm unsure...please help

Update:

The actual question is "According to your data, which two species that you identified diverged the longest time ago? "

I have about 8 to choose from

Well if divergence means what i think it does (English is my fourth language) then you can rephrase your question to "Which of the two species started to grow/increase first" provided that divergence means growth and convergence means decline.
