If it's the sequential twin turbo model yes... the base Toyota Supra was offered with the 220 horse power 2JZ-GE engine. The 2JZ-GTE was a 320 horse powered unit designed by Toyota motor corporation as an inter-cooled, DOHC, inline 6 cylinder twin turbo-charged engine. It was produced from 1991 to 2002 in the Japanese homeland. The 2JZ-GTE originally powered the Aristo V in 1991 before becoming the heart of the Toyota Supra in 1994. This engine was Toyota's response to Nissan's RB26DETT in-line 6cyl engine used in the Nissan Skyline. The Supra was cancelled in the US after 1998 due in part to less demand and the US sport/utility craze. It was continued in Japan till 2002. Did you know that no 6-speed manual transmissions were offered on the exported Supra in 1997?

All Toyota Supras were automatic for that year because of smog certifications.
