Grand Valley State University Michigan?
Can someone give me the hire rate of graduates coming out of GVSU and perhaps some other information regarding the Universities prestige or ranking. I'm having a hard time convincing my parents to let me go there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Perfectly decent state university outside Grand Rapids Michigan.
For a Bachelors degree, it is just fine.
Retention is almost 85% which for a state university is exactly on target. This is the percentage of students who return for their second year.
"Employment in profession" statistics depend on academic majors. Except for military schools and maritime academies. I am unaware of any institution having a good collection of this data because reporting is voluntary.
The Business School is very good and is AACSB-accredited:
They have a distinguished engineering school
Their interdisciplinary engineering program is fascinating and is close to 'mechatronics' . [If you are not into engineering, ignore this].
I know several bankers who are grads of GVSU and very supportive of the education that they received there.
Hope this helps
If you are not a Michigan resident, look into your own state for a Bachelors degree. There is no academic or financial advantage to going out of state.
