Do you like any of these names (all from Downton Abbey)?
You can ignore the last names. I've just put them there because some characters are known by their last names or only appear in a couple of episodes, so it's just to help the people who watch Downton Abbey and want to know who I'm talking about.
I like the names:
Thomas (or Tom)
I like a lot of the characters, weirdly, but I don't like their names. I like the names now because of Downton Abbey's characters (so I actually really like Sybil, but only because of the character, and I've always hated the name Mary, but now I think it's not as bad as I thought it was because of Mary, who I love in Downton Abbey, and has been one of my favourite characters from the start).

Firstly and most obviously these names are really old fashioned but I do like:
Isobel Crawley (Izzy)
I also like
Evelyn Napier but Evelyn can also be used for a girls name which is sweet .

To me they are very period defined names. For example I have a lot of great aunts and uncles, grandparets etc who were born in the 1920s who are named this. It is still a little odd to me seeing babies (more the female names), called things like Violet or Daisy, because I have a great-aunt Vi and a Nan called Daisy.
Sybil, Beryl, Marigold, Ethel, Gwen, Vera, Elsie, Edith and Mary are very "old" names to me.
Jane to me is "timeless" as is Sarah, don't think you can tell anything about someones age from those two names.
The boys name, apart from maybe William and Henry are universial, again older generations I know called William and Henry, and maybe George.

I do like most of the names! Anna, Mary, Rosamund, Cora, Sybil, Jane, Daisy and Isobel.
I adore Henry! It's my favourite little boys name. I like Matthew, Joseph, John and William. Evelyn is also nice!
