why is it important to restore a person's dignity?

how can you help to restore or build someone's dignity? why is this signifcant and important?

    People who have no dignity are usually not very nice to be around.

    Being around someone who doesn't respect others rights to ethical and moral treatment can be a little disheartening, to say the least. Restoring it simply makes them more humane. People who lack dignity tend to also lack empathy as a result so be careful.

    To build dignity it's a simple case of moral persuasion. Just constantly reinforce the truth that the nicer people are to each other, the better off everyone will be for it!
