You know what my teacher has me do? She has me do jumping jacks and/or windmills before I perform. It gets rid of all the excess nerves. You still have enough to get your adrenaline pumping, so you sometimes do even better than you would if you weren't nervous at all.

It's better to be excited about the event than to let too much nervousness show. If you are really too nervous, than it's ok to drop out and try later at a different competition. If you proceed, just take your time and do your best, concentrating on what the composer wants you to do.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just try not to ragequit in the middle of your performance(s). Good luck!

Calm yourself down. Try not to think too much about it.
