Direct sunlight would be having the sun able to shire directly on a plant for at least part of a day. Inside a house, this could happen in a sunny window, under a skylight, or in a greenhouse/solarium.

Indirect sun is when the plant would get light without the sun shining directly on a plant. Outside, it may be in the shade of taller plants all day, and inside, it might be a plant that's sitting on a table beside, but not in front of a window. It could also apply to a plant in front of a window, but with sheer curtains to filter the light.

As far as a plant getting direct sunlight inside a room on an overcast day, no. Whether it would on a sunny day would depend on where it was located with respect to windows and the angle of the sun.

Direct sunlight is sunlight that shines onto a plant at full strength, with nothing getting between the sunlight and the plant.

Indirect sunlight is sunlight that doesn't shine onto a plant at full strength, but is weakened by something coming between it and the plant.

Direct sunlight would be when sunlight is shining directly on an object and when that part of the planet is facing the sun.

Indirect sunlight is when the sunlight is not shining on that object/planet and that part of the planet is facing away from the sun. Example: When the northern hemisphere is spring and the southern hemisphere is fall, and the southern hemisphere was facing the sun, that would mean the northern is not facing the sun, which would mean that on the northern hemisphere, indirect sunlight is occurring, but on the southern hemisphere, direct sunlight is occurring.

I hope this helped you guys ^_^

Direct shines right on the object. Indirect shines near but not on and is reflected off all things around object.
