Is the US obligated to go to war for Israel's defense if Israel orders it to?

I know that Tel Aviv calls the shots in Washington, but what would be the reaction if we refused? Would Israel stop sending the US AID money?

Sadly yes, despite the fact that they've never sent a single troop to aid us in our wars.

Israel was told by the President including the Joint Chiefs they could not get weapons nor could they count of the US giving them the go ahead and strike Iran. Turkey said much the same thing when Israel wanted to take part in the NATO war games that the US and Turkey do together. As far as the aid question they didn't ask this time around. We are not obligated to go to war for Israel and the military knows it.

Iran is also Americas security concern because nukes can go further then israel. America will also do everything to prevent nukes from being used. I want you to prove how Israel calls the shots and most likely all of your answers would be America attacking somewhere that also benefits Americas security also remember Israel is the only good guy in the middle east and America will do anything to defend that

If the bullies in the Middle East start a war with Iran, then yes, the US will enter the war at a cost of thousands of American lives.

Yup, unfortunately so. But at least Romney can't give Obama **** for it because

    he talks tough on Iran.

It's not a matter of whether we're "obligated" or would be a matter of National defense..
