need help, keyboard problems?

my keyboard keeps writing random numbers and letters in my internet explorer. it works fine in firefox though. i have a HP model pc. i've seen other problems similar to mine but they seem to involved laptops. please help

i have recently done a scan with norton anti virus, and it said everything was fine

Perhaps run the following

Up to date Virus scan

Up to date Spyware scan (two different programs)

and a current registry cleaner.

Spybot search and destroy is a good free spyware app that has an immunize option

there are many free anti virus programs out there Avast, Avira, AVG, MS security essentials

CCleaner is an awesome freeware registry cleaner (get the right version 32bit for 32 bit operating system and 64 for 64)

Consider re-installing internet explorer if it is your preferred browser (personally I prefer google chrome)
