Finger Food Friday. Tonight we just have finger foods. I have some Bacon Ribs...?
...out of the freezer and I am looking for some great things to prepare to go with them.
They have to be picked up with the fingers, and no mess requiring cutting to size first etc.
Give me your best shot please.
Best Answer: I like to take the leftover Grits and form little balls and deep fry them,Cheese Grits balls is good too...nice finger food size....Hushpuppy fried bread is some dand good eatin too..this things will be scrumptious with them Bacon Ribs...pineallpe chunks for dessert
36 fresh jalapenos
16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
16 ounces brie, rind removed, at room temperature
1 ½ cups chopped dates
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of finely ground black pepper
12 slices hickory smoked bacon, cut into thirds
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Set a rack inside a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil
Slice each jalapeno from just below the stem to within half an inch of the end. Use the tip of a spoon to remove the seeds (leaving the veins in). Conversely, slice each in half and remove the seeds (this will double the number of appetizers to 72 but then also require 24 slices of bacon, cut into thirds)
Put the cream cheese and brie in a large bowl and, using a hand mixer, blend together. Blend in the dates, salt and pepper until fully incorporated
Fill each jalapeno with the cheese mixture. Wrap each filled jalapeno with bacon and secure with a toothpick
Bacon-wrapped jalapenos can be prepared in advance. Arrange in an even layer and cover with plastic wrap before refrigerating
Arrange the bacon-wrapped jalapenos seam side up on the rack over the baking sheet. Roast for 25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy
Yes, hushpuppies sound great.

I love finger foods, you can just dip right into that jar of Olives, then the pickles, but the best is the jar of Peanut Butter, but I do use a carrot stick to do that.... Finger Foods are fun, like the little baby egg rolls, yummy.

I like to make pigs in a blanket which is hot dogs, each one wrapped in a crescent roll and baked. We dip them in ketchup, they are several bites each but you can get those tiny hot dogs and cut down the crescent rolls before you wrap them and bake. The recipe is on the pillsbury crescent roll package.
I make deviled eggs often to take to pot luck dinners, they are one or two bites each.
A lot of times I like broccoli and cauliflower cut up and dip into ranch dressing...
