Is Abortion an acceptable practice in the Church of the Latter Day Saints, since Hairy Reid is no Saint?

I would like to know, since Harry Reid claims he is a Mormon, and was one of 51 Senators who Voted to sustain the Obama Abortion Bill. Abortion is Not allowed for Jewish women like me, or Christian women like Michelle Bachmann. Women who have Abortions, are neither Jew or Christian, The Holy Bible does not approve of killing the innocent in the uterus. Anyone who supports such Evil towards GOD will never get My Vote...

At the present time those who get elected claiming that they will never support terminating the life of a fetus in the womb, like Harry Reid did, but who then turns around and votes for death against innocent unborn babies...

    they are not excommunicated.

And in fact no action is taken against them (excommunication is the most drastic action that THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints does against a member of that Church, and even those who have been excommunicated can go to a Church of THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints).

However perhaps someday that will change.

Jesus Christ proclaimed the importance of never bearing false witness. Harry Reid did that, to murder and to maim and to destroy the unborn.

People say that being a Mormon is difficult. But the word difficult is a relative term.

Jesus Christ proclaimed that thou shalt not murder...

nor do anything like unto it.

Harry Reid votes for terminating life in the womb, and He and the other Democrats declare war against the World (the NDAA bill did that) and the NDAA bill essentially says the President no longer needs congress to declare war...

first Kosovo, then Iraq, then Afghanistan, then Libya, soon Syria, and after that Iran.

Destruction murder, torture, war, drug dealing, rape, forced prostitution of under-age girls, control of organized crime, confiscation of wealth of people in those countries, and more and more and more and more murder.

Meanwhile Americans are popping Prozac and watching cable news channels, and they were dumbed down by their public school system and they were dumbed down by the chemicals in their food and in their drugs...

and they haven't a clue what kind of evil they are supporting. The kind of evil that will come after them and their children, eventually.

What you do to others, so it will be done to you. What we do to the unborn, and to those who live in countries like Libya, will be done to us.

Libya is now an officially declared slaughter house, where death and wealth confiscation go hand in hand.

Mormons are taught to believe in celebrating life not in..

    celebrating the death culture

    and secret combinations

    that thrive on war

    and hate

and the brutalization of the innocent.

Human beings are not military "targets", they are children of God, created in the image of God. Chat.

    God bless.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not find abortion an acceptable practice, with a possible few exceptions. Harry Reid speaks and acts for himself. He won't be excommunicated from the church for his pro-Abortion votes. If Harry Reid was voted out of office it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Here's the LDS church's stance on abortion, taken directly from their website: "The Church opposes abortion and counsels its members not to submit to or perform an abortion except in the rare cases where, in the opinion of competent medical counsel, the life or good health of the mother is seriously endangered or where the pregnancy was caused by rape and produces serious emotional trauma in the mother."

In other words, the LDS church believes in preserving the baby's life at all costs, but that abortion does have some legitimate medical uses -- to be exercised with great discretion.

Harry Reid and other members of the LDS church are of course allowed to think and act for themselves, and in this case he may be acting more in the interest of his political beliefs and/or those of his constituents.

I had no concept the Mormon`s had this way of violent heritage. I doubt any apology has been given, the latter Day Saints appeared to think of this become an honorable difficulty to do and felt that soul saving become being completed. Is there no decrease to the in basic terms f`d up way, some religions human beings think of God worship is wisely completed???

EVERYONE knows Reid doesn't take LDS the least bit seriously else no Democrat would tolerate him holding any office at any level.

But the Bible does support beating your slaves to death Exodus 21:20-21 AND have your kids stonned by the town elders Deuteronomy 21:18-21. That sounds like socialism to me! So I guess killing in or out of the womb is just kind of splitting hairs!

Source(s): The Bible spends more time talking about when you should kill and sell your kids than it does on the gays!

I think an abortion is generally disapproved among all religions.

i think he just didn't let his religion interfere with his politics. there has to be an adequate reason besides "the bible says so."

Oh please. It's not an abortion bill, it's a bill designed to make contraception available for those who want it.
