Steam at 100C loses 540 calories per gram when condensing to water at 100C.

    That's 5.40×10e5 calories per kg.

One kg of water requires 8.9×10e4 calories to go from 1C to 90C.

1000kg of water at 1C would need 1.64×10e2 kg of steam.

    What's a tonne?

It depends on temperature of (energy present in ) the steam.

please mention conditions of the steam like pressure, dryness fraction and temperature.
