Collectors will hound you for payment. Many credit cards and the collection agencies who specialize in buying up defaulted credit card debt are going to court. CapOne and Citi are two cards that have in-house collection depts and are very aggressive in collecting defaulted accounts. They have been known to sue for even small amounts.

You'd better make payment arrangements immediately.

If you don't, they'll take you to court, and then you'll have to pay what you owe plus penalty fees, interest, and court costs. If you don't pay then, they'll have your paycheck garnished.
