The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) is still VERY rich. The treasures that are within the Roman Vatican City are innumerable. They are priceless and many. But the smaller outlying divisions within the USA's or Europe's Catholic Churches, like a Diocese or Archdiocese, (that are ruled by Bishops, Archbishops or Cardinals) that is where the money has to come from to pay out these lawsuit penalties, and they are HURTING financially. The best way to cause a dent and make a statement to the ruling Curia (the Curia is a hierarchy of ruling/governing priests in Rome) is to STOP financial support of the Catholic Church in its local parishes, dioceses or archdioceses. That activity will cause the Vatican City's Curia to take notice of the problem and eventually make them do something about it. Anytime you want to make an impact... affect the MONEY!

It's given some individual Diocese a real problem.

Thing is,the church set ownership up so that it was compartmentalized. No one has gotten out of the local region with any of them. So you are limited by what is owned locally.

Umm, true, there have been quite a few cases of Pedophilia in the Catholic Church, but the Church is still strong. remember please, out of the pedo's of this era, there are still more priests/deacons/popes that outweigh the number.

So it's immoral to represent a child who has been sexually molested by an authority figure they trust, with said authority figure and his superiors cover it up.
