help with this geometry question please?
The height of a parallelogram is 5 units more than the base. The measure of the base of the parallelogram is 11 units. What is the area, in square units, of the parallelogram?

Start by making an equation.
x + 5 = height, where x = the base.
11 = x
If 11 = x, substitute 11 into the first equation.
11 + 5 = 16
The height is 16, and the base is 11.
Now to find the area, multiply the height by the base.
16 x 11 = 176 square unitsSource(s): Learned this last year. Good luck! Best answer please?? :)

Area of a parallelogram (A) = base(b) X height(h)
A = bh
A= b(b + 5)
A= 11( 11+5)
A = 176 un²

Its just 11 x 16 = 176
