Start by making an equation.

x + 5 = height, where x = the base.

11 = x

If 11 = x, substitute 11 into the first equation.

11 + 5 = 16

The height is 16, and the base is 11.

Now to find the area, multiply the height by the base.

16 x 11 = 176 square units

Area of a parallelogram (A) = base(b) X height(h)

A = bh

A= b(b + 5)

A= 11( 11+5)

A= 11(16)

A = 176 un²
