How do you get the x and y-intercepts of any coordinate?

i need help with my Alg homework.. I was excused while they were discussing it in class PLEASE ANYONE

    If you have the coordinates then you got x & y intercepts, but if you are talking about a line, then to get the x-intercept set y to 0 and solve for x, and vice versa

    If the gradient of the graph is given , then x and y-intercept could be found.

    the formula for it is m= - y-intercept / x-intercept where m is the gradient.
