Do you think people who insist on defining for themselves what is moral and what is not are displeasing God?

  • Yes. In some ways they put themselves as higher moral judges than God.

    I don't believe in any gods but if there is one and he does not want people to develop their own morality, he is himself immoral. Christians do not go by their gods definition of what is morally acceptable or they'd all be in prison for rape, murder, genocide, child prostitution etc when at the moment only a disproportionally large number of them are.

    Christians have free will..we are not forced to do anything...it is written that everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial...so whatever you do...you have yourself to blame if it turns out wrong and nobody else...in Ecclesiastes we are told to do everything that is pleasing to the eye but all things shall be brought to judgment...
