What's the difference between the war in Iraq and the upcoming war in Iran?

Apparently Dems were opposed to Iraq and Afghan so why is Obama and them all for attacking Iran?

The War in Iraq date's back to Saddam's violation of a 1991 Gulf War ceasefire agreement and 22 UN resolutions which started after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990. When Bush I thrown Iraq out of Kuwait in 1991, the mission was complete since the UN mandate only said so. Iraq and UN signed a ceasefire agreement after the liberation of Kuwait which started with the passing of 22 UN Resolutions against Iraq in which Saddam Hussein had to comply. Saddam broke it and flaut with UN weapons inspectors many times for 12 freaking years and the UN(Useless Nations) didn't do anything about it. In 2001, in the light of 9/11, Bush II began accusing Iraq of harboring terrorists and to provide WMDs to them in order to use it against the USA and it's allies. Saddam had a history of funding terrorists such as the Palestinian Liberation Organization and even fund to attack Israel. Iraq was added as part of the war on terror and Iraq also failed to provide UN inspectors wth serious consequences of letting them in.

The War on Iran would be different. I guess it that it would be an sea-to-sea combat with U.S. Navy against Iranian ships using the Strait of Hormuz to cut off oil supplies and that would send economic shockwaves around the world. We have to wait and see.

    - Iran has a far larger population and its military boasts far greater asymmetric warfare capabilities (IED, EFP's, etc) than Iraqi Army under Saddam did.

    - Size difference- Iran is far larger in size and has a larger population

    - Straights of Hormuz. Even senior Navy Officers are stating Iran could close the straights for a short period of time. In short unlike Iraq every American will be effected by the war if for no other reason than they will fill up at the pump.

    - Ability of the war to escalate- Iran has proxies in terrorist groups which more than likely will cause the wars boundaries to expand.

First: Obama never sias that he will attack Iran.

2: diferences: Iran is larger than Iraq and has more population and is the situation is not as bad as iraq's at the time USA attacked Iran. So the job will be tough.
