astrology is not a religion. planets up in the skies affect us somehow and some 300 years ago with his very limited knowledge of psychology, anthropology, biology and everything else what william lilly said pretty much outdated now. sure he did very good for his time but what he used also was logic; you look at this aspect and three others and make a story out of them all. the more you know, the wiser, the more knowledgable you are, the better your story gets, closer to reality. the easier for you to notice patterns and associate them with concepts that lilly never even begin to imagine.
even though i believe planets really affect us, i don't believe they do so in a very spesific way. what i mean by that, x and y opposition doesn't make you cyclothymic, or it doesn't make you gay, or it definitely doesn't give you brain tumor... if i go smack this guy he will attack me. if i go attack this other guy he will run away. the smack was the same but reactions weren't.
if i totally have to stick with astrology, yes, the second guy had x, y and z placements and aspects and that's why he ran but this combination (his aspects and placements "altogether") almost unique to him. many different kind of energies collided and made him.
as long as your subject is a human being tabula rasa, trying to guess how this 9 different energies affecting him "when combined" can only be explained by psychology. you can try meteorology but i don't think it will work.
for example x1 and y1 aspect is OCD. and then x2 and y2 aspect very messy guy syndrome. so what is he, both? these two aspects negated each other? sh!t will happen in real world and that will trigger first aspect and make it stronger even though it doesn't seem so if we stick with astrology? he will be beaten by his dad real good and forced to learn being not messy? and that will by chain reaction activate his pluto to beat his own children, turn out a sadistic person even though there's no astrological indicators?
and countless other possibilities. if you ask me, we should use psychology and ponder whether we should also use astrology. and then i would say, hell, why not. it would at least help us as a media to meditate, if you know what i mean.
and one more thing; whoever is not agree with this, is a complete fatalist and defeatist.
