# What is the area of a donut that is 4 inches in diameter?

I keep getting the answers to these wrong, please help.

1. The diameter of the Earth is approximately 7,957.7 miles. Find the circumference of the Earth to the nearest mile.

2.13. If AB = 6.5, CD = 8, and FE = 22.5, calculate the perimeter of triangle AEC

prob 1

given d = 4 in

r = d/2

r = 4/2 = 2in

A = πr^2

A = π(2)^2

A = 12.56 in^2 answer//

1. The diameter of the Earth is approximately 7,957.7 miles. Find the circumference of the Earth to the nearest mile.

d = 7,957.7 miles

r = 3978.85 miles

C = 2πr

C = 2π(3978.85miles)

C = 24,999.85 miles answer//

2.13. If AB = 6.5, CD = 8, and FE = 22.5, calculate the perimeter of triangle AEC

P = a + b + c

P = 6.5 + 8 + 22.5

P = 37 answer//

To find the circumference of the earth type in the diameter into a calculator then multiplay it by pi. which is 3.14

then round it up to the nearest mile. Easy, you could use the calculator on your pc.
