Travelling through America interested to know whether to go to Albuquerque and El Paso?

Coming from Australia in May doing all the big cities eg. Vegas Miami New York. But looking to do some smaller places in the deep south. Aged 24 and hoping to party and would like to meet some red necks. I am also interested to visit the border. Any ideas thanks

El Paso is close to Carlsbad caverns and not too far from Big Bend NP

Albuqueque is not far from Santa Fe, Bandolier National Monument and the science museums at Los Alamos

    I would pick Albuquerque

You want to visit the border, definitely El Paso. You will see the US/Mexico border in a very unique way. You want to "meet some rednecks"? You'll need a smallish blue-collar farming community for that. Look for the guys with --- red necks from working out in the fields.

If you're near El Paso, keep driving, do not stop.

You should visit Albuquerque and Phoenix.
