What is Nice (France) like?
Is it terribly bourgeois and full of rich people, or are there some funky bohemian parts as well?

Well ... Nice is the 5th biggest city of France ... if it was full of rich people, it'd be great for them.
It's not bourgeois either and 50% of the population is under 40 years old, it's a cosmopolitan city with some rich collections of art, like Chagall's or Matisse's museums.
See the website of the tourist office http://en.nicetourisme.com/
There are many interesting places to visit nearby Nice : Eze Gardens, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Saint Paul de Vence, Gourdon. If you drive, the Grande Corniche road is amazing.Source(s): French I visit the South of France many times per year
