does cereal lose its nutrients after 18 months?

I have some cheerios that were opened but not bad I could eat

    Dried cereal does not necessarily loose nutrients with age but it will go stale.

    As long as they are in an airtight container they will last years properly.

    In a bag or box they could get stale, but still edible.
