My son is on antibiotics, but still has a fever: is he still contagious?

    With strep throat, they usually say 24 hours then they're not contagious anymore. I mean 24 hours on the antibiotics. Fever has nothing to do with it.

    until his fever is down and maybe still after that, the germs can be in his body and his clothes. But yea, fever is the body's own method of killing the microbes, so as long as the fever continues, there still are microbes in him.

    Probably not, but you should ask his doctor, just in case.
